CargoMate, by Intelligent Cargo Systems, is a fleet performance platform providing carriers with real-time port call visibility and automated notifications of important port events, enabling fleet managers to dynamically manage coastal schedules.
Port call optimization is an area that shipping companies are not focusing on. Assessing if ships are early, on time, or delayed is a difficult and complex task due to the array of inputs and variables implied. Because of this, poor port call optimization causes losses in time and productivity for carriers around the world.
Intelligent Cargo Systems developed CargoMate, a digital cargo operations monitoring platform for container ships. Their system enables ships to communicate port events directly with their shipping company and designated third-parties, in real-time and with no change to onboard processes. CargoMate estimates the earliest time a ship can sail, allowing ships to sail early and slower, saving money and reducing emissions with lower fuel consumption.

Chris has over 12 years experience in container shipping, working for P&O Nedlloyd, Maersk Line and Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL). Chris graduated from Solent University with a Bachelor’s degree in Merchant Ship Operations.
