Unbox Robotics
Unbox Robotics exists to enable logistics players to automate and radically improve their operations on-demand using limited
footprint and capital.
Although the number of parcel deliveries and their delivery locations are growing exponentially, existing parcel sorting systems are difficult to scale-up/down, require huge area, money & installation time. Unitary
Sasha Haco James Thewlis
Unitary makes the internet safer with AI that can interpret a video’s context. Video is exploding: over 500 hours are uploaded every minute. Current AI is inadequate to pick out those videos that are extremely damaging, so social networks employ armies of moderators to filter through them. Unsurprisingly, repeated exposure to disturbing footage leaves thousands with PTSD. And still the original problem is not solved.
New EU law is about to force platforms to take responsibility for harmful content. It is time for a better solution. We have developed a novel approach, using a graph-based technology that is born out of a unique alignment of our skillsets.
Sasha Haco came top of her year in astrophysics at the University of Cam-
bridge. She went on to do a PhD, working with Stephen Hawking on black hole information. She spent a year as a visiting fellow at Harvard, then started a software startup that went through the Pioneer program and came in the top 1%.
James Thewlis has a PhD in computer vision from the University of Oxford’s
Visual Geometry Group (VGG). He was brought in-house at Facebook to work on AI in videos, and also worked in AdTech, using computer vision for enhancing video understanding. He has published at all major conferences in this field.
