After a fantastic summer school last year, the Alan Turing Institute, the Francis Crick Institute, and Entrepreneur First are coming together again to host a Startup Masterclass series. We’re inviting researchers from data science and biomedical science to explore how they can have impact through entrepreneurship.Throughout the month of July, we’ll be hosting a series of masterclasses to bring together Biomedical scientists and data scientists virtually to demystify what entrepreneurship really is. You’ll have the opportunity to explore what’s possible when using your skills, experience and insight to achieve real world applications of your research. Join us to explore the transition from scientist to founder while gaining new skills and connecting with like-minded scientists.

Transitioning from research into entrepreneurship panel discussion, hosted by Matt Clifford, co-founder and CEO of Entrepreneur First.

Researchers turned into entrepreneurs on the panel feature:
Professor Phil Beales, CMO of Congenica and Director of a Precision Medicine Accelerator, Peter Kecskemethy, co-founder and CEO of Kheiron Medical, Ariane Gomes, co-founder and CEO of Baseimmune (and alumni of KQ Labs accelerator).

This panel event should inspire you as a researcher to see what’s possible when using your skills, experience and insight to achieve real world applications of your science.

After the panel discussion, an additional two workshops will show you how you can amplify the impact of your research through entrepreneurship.

The Masterclass series is primarily aimed at those who have higher levels of qualifications such as a PhD, or are studying for one, and those based in the UK.

Capacity is limited and priority will be given to those that can attend all sessions.We take the handling of data seriously.
