Dr Stefano Goria

Stefano combines over 17 years of expertise in building and bringing cutting edge mathematical models to production with strong experience in leading technical teams. After obtaining his PhD in Theoretical Physics working on the Higgs-Boson particle, Stefano worked as a quantitative analyst in large investment banks (JP Morgan, Citibank) for over eight years. There, he lead teams of engineers and created highly efficient, regulated multi-modal machine learning models for the trading floor, but eventually found himself wanting to use his extensive skillset for a richer purpose. In 2020, he joined Entrepreneur First to find a more meaningful and challenging pursuit, which he found when he heard Emilia pitching her idea for thymia for the first time.
