Razvan Ranca

Razvan Ranca is the CTO and co-founder of Tractable, the first unicorn founded through our platform.

Razvan completed his undergraduate degree in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science at the University of Edinburgh, before progressing to the University of Cambridge to complete his Master’s. There, he persuaded one the country’s leading Machine Learning professors to supervise his studies; wrote poker bots and algorithms; and completed his MPhil with a distinction.

Rather than continue in academia, Razvan made the decision to join Entrepreneur First to take his shot at founding a business, and apply his skillset to new, currently intractable problems.

Here, he met co-founder Alex, and together they built Tractable.

The company is now valued at $1B, has offices in London, New York and Japan, and works with over 20 of the world’s top insurers, including Ageas, Covéa and Tokio Marine. Raz has also been named by Forbes in its Europe 30 Under 30 for Technology.
