Rosália Lopes Rodrigues

Rosália holds a PhD in Nanomedicine from Imperial College London with 9 years of multi-disciplinary practice at leading Nanotechnology institutes; designing and synthesising bio-active, programmable nanomaterials for molecularly resolved sensing, challenging drug delivery and bio-imaging. She has built an entire library of highly reproducible bespoke smart inorganic nanomaterials that increase biosensors sensitivity by a factor of 2 million, drug-loading capacity by 10-fold, and nanoparticle penetration through the BBB from below 10% to above 80%. In addition to her patient-centric research and RSC published authorships, she has worked for the NHS and is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
