Accurx
Company Summary
Accurx is a UK-based healthcare communication platform that powers conversations between NHS staff and patients. Trusted by over 98% of GP practices and 68% of NHS trusts, it offers a unified interface to message, book, video-call, and collaborate—enabling seamless workflows and better patient care.
The Problem
Healthcare teams struggle with fragmented communication—relying on letters, pagers, phones, and siloed systems. This fragmented infrastructure slows care, drains staff time, and reduces quality. Patients suffer from delays, missed appointments, and poor access to services.
The Solution
Accurx unifies communication tools—SMS, secure messaging, booking, triage forms, and video consultations—into a single platform integrated with EMIS and SystmOne. It empowers staff to resolve 98% of patient requests within a day via its Patient Triage feature. Self-Book links streamline appointments, and Accurx Scribe uses AI to transcribe and summarize consultations, saving clinicians up to an hour per session.
Funding
In September 2021, Accurx raised £27.5M in a Series B led by Lakestar, with participation from British Patient Capital and existing investors. The company has raised approximately £36M to date, including a £8.8M Series A in 2019.
