CloudNC

Company Summary
CloudNC uses artificial intelligence to transform how machine parts are programmed and manufactured. Its core product, CAM Assist, automates the most time-consuming parts of CNC (computer numerical control) machining—like strategy planning and toolpath generation. By accelerating programming and improving consistency, CloudNC helps factories boost output, reduce bottlenecks, and address skilled labor shortages.
The Problem
Modern manufacturing relies on CNC machining for precision parts, but programming these machines is slow, repetitive, and requires deep expertise. With global shortages of skilled machinists and increasing demand for complex, high-precision components, factories struggle to maintain efficiency and throughput. The result is delayed production, inconsistent quality, and higher costs.
The Solution
CloudNC’s CAM Assist uses advanced AI to automate CNC programming. It helps machinists generate effective toolpaths in minutes, removing repetitive steps and optimizing for each machine’s capabilities. CAM Assist integrates into existing workflows and enhances machinist productivity without replacing them. The result is faster programming, greater consistency, and more scalable output.
Funding
In June 2022, CloudNC raised $45M in a Series B round led by Autodesk, with participation from Lockheed Martin, British Patient Capital, Atomico, and Episode 1 Ventures. The company previously raised £9M in a Series A round led by Atomico. This brings total disclosed funding to approximately $57M.
