Helicon
Helicon is building autonomous factories to mass produce composite fiber parts for unmanned systems. Their platform, Argos, runs the full composite engineering loop automatically, connecting DFM, mold design, simulation, quoting, manufacturing, and quality inspection into one system. It turns composite production from a manual, artisanal process into a scalable one unlocking the industrialization of composites. Their mission: accelerate the world’s transition to advanced materials.
Founders
Alex Niehaus
CEO
Alex worked in BizOps at startups throughout college until being recruited by Atoms, where he built automations scaling human productivity. He then led AI agent development at Accel-backed Arcane and most recently built a company to automate workflows in the physical world.
Edmundo Sanz-Gadea
CTO
Edmundo built autonomous drones for infrastructure inspection, driverless race cars with MIT, and worked on large-scale AI model training at BCAI. At ETH Zürich, he trained diffusion models for robotic manipulation. He holds a BSc in Aerospace and a MSc in Robotics from TU Delft.
