We’re establishing a permanent presence in San Francisco, launching our new hub in South Park next month.

From now on, startups across our global sites will be invited to relocate to San Francisco after funding from our Investment Committee. These startups will have the opportunity to continue their journey (the ‘Launch’ part of our product) in San Francisco, growing what they’ve built into an early stage company while gaining access to the world’s most important startup ecosystem.

Founders who join the SF hub can expect to:

  • Be matched with a Silicon Valley advisor, in addition to their local advisor. Each team will receive tailored, bespoke advice from someone with direct experience of building and raising in the Bay Area.
  • Attend weekly conversations with experienced founders, operators and investors. Last year we hosted Reid Hoffman (Cofounder, LinkedIn and Inflection AI), John Collison (Cofounder and President, Stripe) and Marc Andreessen (Cofounder and General Partner,  Andreessen Horowitz) for conversations with our cohort of founders.
  • Join our network at Happy Hours hosted at our hub in South Park. We’re running invite-only, informal events for founders, alumni, investors and advisors to meet and build their network across the Bay Area.
  • Accelerate their growth in groups with fellow founders. Founders will share learnings, insights and connections in industry-specific peer groups.
  • Pitch to world leading investors at an in-person Demo Day in San Francisco. As teams officially kick off fundraising, this event is designed to introduce our founders to some of the best investors in the world.
  • Gain exposure to hundreds of top seed VCs and angels across Silicon Valley and Europe. Every team will launch via our Demo Day platform, showcasing the startups from our most recent programs.

EF is backed by some of the Bay Area’s leading investors, including Greylock, Founders Fund, Patrick and John Collison (Stripe), Reid Hoffman (LinkedIn, Inflection AI), Elad Gil (Coinbase, AirBnB), Nat Friedman (GitHub) and Sara Clemens (Twitch).

Taking part in the ‘Launch’ program in SF is for companies who have received investment in our most recent Investment Committee, January 2024, and onwards. The ‘Launch’ part of the program at the SF hub won’t be available for companies that already completed ‘Launch’ previously and received investment prior to this date. [Revision added 02/02/2024]
