We run programs in our four hub cities across North America, Europe and Asia.

Do I need a visa?

You may need a visa to relocate to London.

In many circumstances, we can offer support to help you apply for a visa, if required. However it is dependent on your circumstance and background.

Do I need to relocate to London?

Yes, people we select relocate to join us from all over the world.  Our programs are run in person at our office in London.

There’s no commitment to stay in London after the program.

What financial support do I receive on the program?

Upon signing your offer to join  the program*, you will receive a £6,000 Talent Investment.

You can use this money towards your living costs or any company costs during Form. If you later don’t form a company or we choose not to invest further, we don’t take any equity and you don’t owe us anything.

*Subject to you completing all required KYC screenings and, if applicable, having obtained the appropriate visa to attend the full program.

What are the investment terms?

If you pass Investment Committee, you’ll get investment of up to $250,000. This is made up of a $125,000 investment for 8% equity from EF, and the opportunity to receive a further $125,000 investment from a partner of EF, Transpose Platform.

Our investment is a net amount of US$125,000 via an investment instrument (e.g. a convertible loan note if you incorporate in the UK or a SAFE if you incorporate in Delaware)  which will convert to an 8% shareholding in your company on a fully diluted basis. This is in addition to the £6,000 Talent Investment you will receive upon signing your offer to join the program.

Investment decisions are made at Investment Committee, which takes place at the end of Form, the first twelve weeks of the program. Those companies that are successful at Investment Committee will have the choice to continue their journey with EF through Launch, our program designed to help you secure your seed round, in San Francisco or in their local market.

During 2024, companies that participate fully in the Launch program in San Francisco and incorporate as a Delaware C-Corp, will have the option (but not the obligation) to receive an additional investment from Transpose Platform of $125k via a SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity) with an MFN (Most Favoured Nation).

Do I get taxed on the Talent Investment?

Entrepreneur First pays out the Talent Investment gross of tax, meaning the full amount will hit your bank account. This is part of our potential investment in your company and is not to be treated as salary or employment income. We cannot give you tax advice, but it is your duty to make any relevant disclosures in your personal tax return (if required).
