We run cohorts in London twice a year, with between 50 and 100 prospective founders taking part. In addition to our Core programme, in London we bring together Graduate and web3 specialist cohorts.

Our London companies include Tractable who recently raised a US$60M Series D round, and accuRx, who played a critical role in the UK’s vaccine roll-out.

We’ve seen several successful exits from our London cohorts, including Magic Pony Technology who were acquired for a reported US$150M.

Our community

A community of ambitious future founders, hand-selected by our team.

Founders have left leading institutions and impressive jobs to join our platform.

From a wide variety of backgrounds, they all share a commitment to building innovative startups now. These are the challengers; the driven; the leaders; the ones with the potential to found globally important companies.

Meet our London community
“Finding that compatibility with someone who understands the problem you’re trying to solve, and who’s also in the headspace to start a company right now, it’s invaluable. To find people like that is tough, and EF just brought all that together for you.”

London FAQs

Q

Can I get a visa to take part in Entrepreneur First London?

A

If you have been successfully accepted to attend our London programme, we, as an Endorsing Body, might be able to endorse you for a Start-up Visa depending on your  circumstances and the ability to satisfy certain criteria. Alternative visas are available – please speak to your dedicated Talent Associate and they will be able to provide you with more details and introduce you to an immigration advisor who can assist you.

Q

Can I apply if I already have a co-founder or business?

A

You can apply if you already have a team, however each co-founder will have to apply as an individual, as we admit people to the programme on an individual basis instead of on their team/idea.

If you have an existing business, and you have taken a very small amount of investment or been awarded a grant, you are still eligible to apply. However, depending on the arrangement, it does sometimes prevent us from being able to invest in your company and therefore prevent us from offering you a place. We deal with these situations on a case-by-case basis and you should email [email protected] for more information.

Q

Do I need to speak a particular language?

A

The programme is run in English, therefore you will need to be comfortable speaking and working in English.

Q

Do I get financial support during the cohort?

A

Yes – for the first three months of the programme, we pay you a stipend of £2000 per month.

If you pass our Investment Committee, and progress to the next stage of the programme, we will make an £80,000 investment in your company in return for a 10% equity stake, and expect you and your co-founder to use some of this to pay yourselves.

Q

Do I need to be in London during the cohort?

A

We do ask our cohort members to relocate to take part in the programme. People we select relocate to join us from all over the world.

Q

Do I need to stay in London?

A

No – though many companies choose to stay in London. For any company the most important thing is to be close to its customers and sometimes this means relocating to where these customers are. We have companies based in the US, South Africa, Netherlands and China as well as many other locations.

Q

How does investment during Launch work?

A

If you are successful at the Investment Committee, at the start of Launch, we will make our first investment in your company. We invest £80,000, along with the stipends paid in the first part of the programme, for 10% of your company.
